“All staff at Eagle’s Nest have been very patient with X and given him lots of praise, which is needed for his low self-esteem.”

Indoor Climbing

Aimed at Yr 7-12 students working to match Staffordshire term dates
What's involved?

After ‘tea and toast’ to start the day at our centre, with time to set individual targets, students make a packed lunch before heading to a local climbing centre for the rest of the day. Once at the centre, they complete a 2-hour session of climbing as they work towards a NICAS Award (National Indoor Climbing Association). After a break for lunch, students complete a further activity at the centre which covers caving, high ropes, abseiling and bouldering across the length of the course.

Climbing is a brilliant activity for building trust in others and working as a team. At the end of the day, students return to the centre and log their activities on a photo sheet and review their daily target before finishing.
