Cake Decorating
This project opens the opportunity for learners to meet and learn from professional cake decorators and shows learners the high quality finish that can be achieved with perseverance.
What's involved?
Learners arrive at centre and prepare for the day, making a packed lunch if it is an off-site studio day (4 out of 7) or have a slightly more relaxed start if it is a centre-based session. Different skills are used each week to produce a range of end products. There is a break for lunch in the middle of the day before the decorating continues.
This project aims to build confidence and show students that they can achieve a high quality finish on their work. Students are always surprised by how well they do.
